Intelligent systems for comfortable and worry-free travel
DUBZ is a global player in the travel technology sector. Founded in 2016 in Dubai by three entrepreneurs, DUBZ quickly gained industry attention and became a winner of the Intelak accelerator – a joint initiative by Emirates Group, GE and Dubai Tourism to support innovation in travel and aviation across the UAE.
XPG Factor has been working with DUBZ as a technology partner since 2016, beginning with a basic booking interface in a lightweight web app.
What seemed like a simple tool at first laid the groundwork for a much more ambitious service – one that allows travelers to hand off their luggage and track it independently throughout its entire journey.
From the very beginning of our partnership with DUBZ, security has been a top priority. Even when a project doesn’t involve handling critical data, we adapt the architecture to its specific context. And in this case – to meet the requirements of Saudi Arabia.
Together with DUBZ, we deployed infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, keeping all data stored within the country. As part of the security-first approach, our teams implemented two-factor authentication, comprehensive logging and clearly defined access controls. We also provide weekend support through a dedicated team.
In addition, we work closely with Emirates Security Group, a reliable partner that delivers advanced firewall protection and routine penetration testing.
Over time, the project began to grow. A simple form turned into a full-fledged digital ecosystem for managing baggage logistics.Today, it is a comprehensive solution that covers the entire luggage journey – from the customer’s door to airport check-in and vice versa. The system includes advanced tracking, dynamic task assignment for couriers, and seamless integrations with both DUBZ’s internal workflows and external platforms.
Once DUBZ’s main product gained popularity and won the trust of users, the next logical step was the launch of a new, more ambitious initiative: a solution for the premium travel segment.
This gave rise to a fully automated baggage delivery system designed specifically for guests of luxury hotels and all-inclusive resorts. Everything is built around the idea that the client shouldn’t have to worry about a single detail.
A deep integration with SITA’s global baggage tracking system ensures full automation: all delivery tasks are created without manual input, providing a fully invisible experience, just as a premium service should be.
Today, our partnership with DUBZ spans the development and support of two core products and three additional initiatives. Our team of 16 engineers and experts is deeply embedded in DUBZ’s operations.
We’re also preparing for global deployment, adding multilingual support and making a bold move into the European market. Our goal is to remain DUBZ’s strategic technology partner throughout its entire business lifecycle.
